Law seemed like he wanted to learn what was going on, but... I am not sure how it would go to bring him back, yeah. I don't know Steven or Lenore super well, but I don't think they're bad choices. That said, Lenore didn't really seem to investigate things that deeply. Neither did Aoi.
Don't worry, I will ultimately make the decision for myself. Though it's surprisingly nice to be able to talk it out like this.

I didn't know Lenore or Steven enough to gauge their characters. I hold no grudge against Law, but I agree that it would be best to avoid known murderers. [ Or would-be killers. So obviously in addition to Law, there's Fukuda, Grell, Douman, Misa, Mahito, Childe, and HK-47. ]
In which case I believe the most reliable choices would be Omi, Luca, or Eleanor.
And unless they have some freaky hidden side, I think those are the least likely to flip their shit too. We could use someone level-headed. [...] Sort of. Relatively.
